Back in March, 2020, Isaac Aesili blessed us with his spectacular sophomore solo effort, “Hidden Truths,” which was a much-needed sonic panacea in the early lockdown days. Two years on, he’s tapped the Italian DJ and producer Broke One (aka Fabio Brocato) for a remix of “Jungles,” one of the more dance-leaning tracks from the future-soul-meets-jazzy-r&b album.

Retaining the original’s dense percussion rhythms and atmospheric vocal samples, Broke One speeds things up and adds a four-on-the-floor kick, lush, layered pads, and syncopated keys to flip “Jungles” into a deep-house heater.

“Jungles (Broke One Remix)” is out on Bastard Jazz Recordings March 18th. We’re looking forward to hearing this one on the dance-floor!
